arina is a local model and entrepreneur, who recently married her love in Cape Town. photographer debbie lourens, did an engagement shoot for them, but couldn’t do their wedding pics. debbie asked me to make some florals for their e-shoot, which was an honour for sure, as I love having my work in front of debbie’s lense and a beautiful model, but real couple to showcase some pretty on, as well as gifting them with something extra to add to their e-shoot.

i made an ombre coloured bouquet in shades of white, grey, purple and black to go with the dramatic gown that arina wore for the shoot.

and because i love making unusual florals, i also made this shoulder corsage to accent the lines of the bodice and add some floral drama to a beautiful, but simple silhouette of the dress

engagement shoots are wonderful occasions to do something a little daring as there is no risk of looking back on the images one day and going what was i thinking, as it’s not your wedding day. and thus a floral accessory, that you can shoot with and without, is a low risk way of doing this, well i certainly think so.
