We Are Africa – Encounter The Extraordinary

This is a travel expo, but it’s not an expo in the traditional sense – the way these guys approach their event is totally different and its all about the people, on both ends of the business.

This also extends to their suppliers – the brief is usually super cool and is about creating a beautiful space for their exhibitors and visitors to enjoy whilst doing the business of travel in Africa.

The event is held at the Cape Town Stadium which is a pretty cool venue to work at – its an icon of the City Bowl and an unmistakeable landmark.

The theme this year was Encounter the Extraordinary – which resonated with me, having just returned from completing my International Master Florist exams (and passing) in the Netherlands.

We designed and executed (with a small but mighty team) some incredible displays for the Concierge desk, the restaurant level and for the main congregational point at the ‘Under the Influence’ bar, just next to the exit to Pitchside, where daily entertainment took place for the attendees.
